Inhabited since the Neolithic period, Paphos is a treasure trove of antiquities. This pretty little harbour town welcomes you with its bright fishing boats and tavernas nestles in the picturesque Western Troodos Mountains.
Its the birthplace of the Greek goddess of fertility 'Aphrodite', so there are many monuments dedicated to her. The Akamas peninsula a rich natural wildlife reserve and there are also some wonderful trails for walking and cycling.
