This north central African country may not be the most harmonious country to visit owing to the ongoing political turbulence. Situated on the edge of the Sahara, the region has an arid semi-desert landscape. Chad has some interesting cities and places to visit with a thriving nightlife in the capital city. Chad has a first-rate crafts industry, shop for some exquisite camelhair carpets, and all kinds of leatherwear, embroidered cotton cloths, decorated calabashes, knives, weapons, pottery and brass animals.
